Stephen is a third-generation auctioneer & owns Matthews Auctioneers in Galax, VA. Auctioneering runs in his blood, and he has been fortunate to continue this family legacy with passion and pride. In 2020, he clinched the title of Virginia State Champion Auctioneer. Since then he is 2-time top 10 finisher in the International Auctioneers Championship, competing against some of the best in the world. At the heart of his life is family. He has been married to his wonderful wife, Samantha, and together they are raising three daughters. They are his biggest supporters and the joy of his life. At Matthews Auctioneers, we’re not just about conducting auctions; we’re about creating experiences and building lasting relationships.
